SO...I have now had every class I will have this semester and participated in each sooooooooooo I'll give you a run down of my life away at college!
Classes - English -- Not too hard, a basic composition class...not too much to say
Music theory -- Probably one of my hardest classes...But key signature study parties make it all worth while...*cough* C Sharp 7 sharps slut *Cough*
State and Local Government -- I really like this class + the professor brings in food all the time so thats a good bonus
Studio -- Studio is going to be one of my favorites...a certain group of students perform one piece they are preparing for juries, then we write critiques on thier performances! Super cool...

Performance Classes/Groups That I get a Grade for
Chorale -- Select Singing group of about 20-25 people I believe...Nothing too interesting yet...
Chorus -- A general chorus open to anyone...one of the two large ensembles, a requirement for me...
Applied Instruction -- Private Voice lesson with Mr. Matthew Ripperre...Very cool!!
Performing Groups/Clubs/Shows
Night Owls -- WSCs A Capella group...19 singers and vocal percussionist...ask me about my audition story...SO FUN!
Guys Dont Talk About Love/G-Love/MTG -- Musical Theater Guild, one of the oldest clubs on campus is doing an original show written and directed by a student (Jess Torone) and its super phenominal!! I can't believe a student wrote it to be honest!! My characters name is Jim.

Time to Go Back

So I've been thinking a lot about who made me lately. No, I havent been thinking about my parents doing the dirty back in the winter of 1987...Ive been thinking of people who made me who I am. Obviously first and foremost I've been thinking of LifeTeen and all my friend there.

I was gunna write more about this but im so totally lost right now...

End of the Summer Review

So this is my last summer of innocence. Next summer I will turn twenty so I wont be a teenager any longer.. I will also have finished one year of college. I don't know how I feel about this but I believe its time for my end of the summer review. All in all I give this summer a b. Not a B+ or a B- but exactly in the middle, a B! Work was great for some of the summer and made me really angry. My summer choir was not really fun but the concert at the end of the summer made up for it. I would say that my good times were above average on several accounts such as white water rafting, and my bad times were only slightly below average suckiness.
I feel like there was a lot more that I could have done with my summer, but I also feel like im too lazy to do a lot of it. I mean I went to New York for my birthday and thats definately like an A+ in an Advance Placement class or somthing, and that brings my weighted GPA a lot higher!I did have points where I was depressed and did not know why but who cares to hear about that. Jonathan Groff did not call or email me...but I still got to meet him!
So all in all this summer got a B. Not a B+. Not a B-. A B.

Another age difference...

So I really love my new shoes. $50 at Aldo, and I never spend money like that on shoes...but these ones just called to me. They look like low top converse styles sneakers. Gray. The white parts faux stained grayish and they have multi-colored and layered patches all over them. Basically I paid $50 for a pair of pre-destroyed shoes. Currently im also wearing a pair of Jeans that have small rips-I'm not a huge fan of the extremely ripped jeans-stains and small unreadable script on them. Now my uncle asked me why I liked these clothes so much, but then we got into a conversation about how much he and my dad loved thier denim jackets. They fondness for the clothes only deepend when they were covered in holes and patches and were fraying on the edges. I whole heartedly feel that most of this fondness is aquired by the memories created while getting thier clothes ripped but why do they get so angry when we spend $10-15 more on a pair of jeans that are pre-"worn". I don't understand why parents are so worried about my jeans being ripped, when they wore ripped jeans when they were a teenager...Man it blows my mind...

Old Age is for the Birds...

Old age...It seems like I'm just starting to think about how old people are. I work with five year olds all day five days a week and they are so fun. I kind of want to just grow down and be five, they are completely amused by things as simple as a parachute or duck duck goose for so long! I've also noticed how old people act too. My parents are both in their late fifties and recently have fallen in love with bird feeders. They love to just sit outside for hours and watch the birds eat. Not that theres anything particularly old about that but this morning my mom was amazed at how close she got to a bird on the feeder and actually began talking to it...I was completely shocked at how old she sounded when she excitedly recounted her tale in our kitchen as if she had been talking to a pterodactyle. Along with this bird watching habit that both my mother and father have aquired, they now love ugly lawn ornaments. Case in point the two "Geeky Beeks" sitting in my foyer waiting for the landscaping to be done. These hideous abominations are metal birds with springs for necks. Not too ugly if you live in a trailor park or an elderly community in Florida but in a suburban town full of normal upper-middle class people they are simply an eye sore.

Now I'm not trying to pick on my parents. I mean my Mom has her moments where she does do somthing resonably acceptable. But I find it hard to not think about how old they are when they both take naps regularly and like to go yard sale shopping whenever its nice out instead of the usual weekend trip to our private beach like in past years. But in reality my parents are not the only ones whom i find are getting older and older with thier true age showing. My aunt and uncle sent me a birthday card yesterday and it just screams old person on it. Not necisserily from an old person but for an old person. It says "Happy birthday to someone who looks younger and younger every year..." and the inside says "from someone who lies more and more each year!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha HA...Okay relax I was just kidding..." Now I dont know why I noticed it but it just screams old. I dont care about looking younger...Actually I want to look older. I'm 19 and I'm trying to shed my little boy look. Its just wierd...
